Dear Friends of Silver Streak Gallery,

We have decided not to re-open the gallery space at Monterey Court after our summer hiatus.  This has been a difficult decision as we really enjoyed our time at Monterey Court, but we have come to the conclusion that the Court is just not the right place for the type of work we offer.  Effective July 1st 2012, the gallery will officially be on sabbatical while we reformulate our plans and refocus our energies on creating our own artwork.  We will continue to offer our work for browsing and sale through this site, which will soon be redesigned to serve as an online gallery, and we will also continue to communicate news and interesting happenings related to the art world here and on our Facebook page, facebook.com/silverstreakgallery.

We’d like to thank all the wonderful people we have come into contact with during our time at Monterey Court, in particular the artists who have entrusted us with their creations; Elizabeth Bohm, Lee Logan, Anikó Sáfrán, Amy Selegue and all the participants in our 2012 Fun-a-Day exhibition.  We are also grateful to Carolyn Classen for her support on her Tucson Citizen blog, Carolyn’s Community.  We hope that you will continue to visit Monterey Court for the great food, artisan gift shops, and burgeoning music scene there.  We are big fans of the revitalization effort on Miracle Mile, and we support the endeavors of all our fellow entrepreneurs who are working so hard to make it a great place for the community to gather.

Thanks for supporting us and our work, and we hope you’ll continue to follow us here and on Facebook as our artistic adventures evolve.

All our best,

Jessica, Chris and Rosie
